PR Account Executive – Horsham

PR Account Executive

Successful PR agency based near Horsham is looking for an Account Executive to join their team. The role will be to work on UK and pan-European campaigns for clients in the home technology, green building and events sector.

You will possess outstanding media relations skills, be a strong writer and know social media inside and out. You’ll also be well-organised and a capable multi-tasker. This is a fantastic opportunity if you’re keen to take on new responsibilities and enjoy working on some great clients at a growing, supportive, award-winning agency.

You’ll need to be an out-going and articulate team player with previous experience within a PR or marketing agency environment.

Enthusiasm and excellent writing skills are a necessity. We also need a competent administrator who is organised and can prioritise well.

Previous experience within Technology or Exhibition related PR would be beneficial.

Duties will include –

Work effectively with clients

  • To learn as much as possible about clients’ businesses and their competitors
  • To identify work that needs to be done, and , referring to managers as necessary, to carry out that work with minimal supervision
  • To maintain clear and regular communication with clients
  • To back up account manager as client contact

Effectively manage PR activities for clients and agency

  • To work effectively with the media, analysts and other audiences for the best possible results for clients
  • To develop relationships with key trade and consumer press and analysts
  • To proof read and check the style of press releases and other documents
  • To provide event organisation and management support, where necessary

Demonstrate industry knowledge and expertise

  • To read relevant trade and consumer media and stay in touch with industry issues and trends
  • To be a regular contributor to industry discussions

  • To accept responsibility for your work
